Val d'Orcia: a Renaissance Painting

The Val d'Orcia is one of the most beautiful and popular tourist destinations in Tuscany, a perfect synthesis of the essential characteristics of the Sienese countryside: gentle hills, winding roads, fairy tale villages and cypresses stretching towards the blue colour of the sky.

Driving, biking or simply walking through this Valley is a pleasure to your eyes; it gives you the feeling of travelling into a Renaissance painting.

Included on the World Heritage List, the region extends from Siena to the Monte Amiata and boasts picturesque towns such as Montalcino, San Quirico d'Orcia and Pienza. It is also home to some of the world's most notable wines, cheeses and cured meats.

If you like to slow down, enjoy nature and pamper yourself, you'll just love this part of Tuscany!

Top photo spots: Cappella della Madonna di Vitaleta, Bagno Vignoni's thermal pool, the Fortress of Radicofani, the Abbey of Sant'Antimo.

Accommodation solutions: we recommend you choose a farmhouse, a small hotel or a typical Tuscany's Villa for rental.
